The entrance feels more like you’re visiting a friend’s well-kept apartment building than checking into typical tourist accommodation, which actually turned out to be exactly the vibe I needed.

You know what’s great about this spot? It’s properly in Riga, not some touristy bubble. Krišjāņa Valdemāra street runs right through one of those neighborhoods where locals actually live and work, so you get real cafes and corner shops instead of overpriced tourist traps. The Old Town is close enough for easy walks, but far enough that you’re not dealing with crowds of cruise ship passengers every time you step outside.
