The building itself has that classic European charm, but when you step inside the apartment, it’s clear everything’s been completely redone with modern travelers in mind.

Honestly, I’ve stayed in plenty of places that claim to be \”central,\” but this one delivers. You’re literally steps from the Old Town’s cobblestone streets, and I found myself wandering over to the Freedom Monument or popping into those little cafés around Dome Square without even thinking about it. The couples who rate this location so highly — they’re not wrong. There’s something romantic about being able to stroll through medieval streets at night and be back home in minutes. Plus, you know what’s great? The trams and buses are right there when you need them, but you honestly won’t use them much because everything’s walkable.

The Space Itself

The room — well, it’s more like having your own little Latvian pied-à-terre. Everything feels fresh and thoughtfully designed, which makes sense given it’s brand new. The kitchen is actually functional (not one of those tiny hotel kitchenettes that’s just for show), so you can grab fresh bread from the market and make proper coffee in the morning. I appreciated the extra space to spread out — travel days can be long, and having room to breathe makes all the difference.

What Makes It Work

The thing about staying here is that you feel like you’re living in Rīga rather than just visiting it. Morning light streams through those big windows, and you can hear the city waking up — but it’s not noisy, just… alive. The attention to detail shows everywhere, from the way the shower actually has good water pressure to how the Wi-Fi doesn’t cut out when you need it most. Small things, but they add up when you’re trying to feel settled somewhere new.

  I stayed before so I returned as it is so close to the opera and old town, less than 10 minutes walk. Aleksandrs is a very good landlord and contactable all the time. The city heating was late switching on, so he immediately brought a heater which warmed very well. It is very quiet and comfortable, fast wifi and TV and coffee machine. Constant hot water and a washing machine.
  
  What could be improved: The only problem is the windows face an abandoned building. If the apartment was on the other side of the building, you would have a view.

  Communication with the accommodation owner was excellent. The apartment is in a great location, very close to the train station, but also close to all the main attractions in the city center.

  Exceptional and highly recommended! Spotless clean, next to train station and big shopping centre, lot of bus and tram stops around! There are cooker, kettle, fridge and washing machine; also drying rack and iron. The owners very polite and responsive.

  Good location, super comfortable bed. The only downside is that the windows face a vacant building, but i actually preferred that to people being there since i didn't have to use the curtains as much. I was surprised there was a washing machine for clothes. It was easy to use and there is an available drying rack. Pretty much everything one or two people need is there. It's very close to the train station and convenient if you're going to travel the country or even go to Jūrmala. The owner was communicative and check in was very easy. If i stay in Riga again i will consider this option highly.
