Stylish Loft in Riga Old Town

You know what really surprised me about this place? When I first walked up to Pasta iela 6, I honestly wasn’t expecting much from the outside – it’s this old building that looks pretty typical for the area. But step inside, and wow, they’ve done something really special with the space. The loft has this perfect balance of keeping the old Riga character (those gorgeous high ceilings and original wooden beams) while making it feel completely modern and, well, actually stylish.

The location is pretty much perfect if you want to be right in the thick of things. You’re literally a two-minute walk from Doma laukums – I mean, you can practically hear the cathedral bells from the windows. What I love is that you can stumble out the door and be at some of the best little cafés and bars in the Old Town, but once you’re back inside, it’s surprisingly quiet. The street isn’t one of those main tourist drags, so you don’t get the constant noise of tour groups at all hours. Actually, I found myself just sitting by the windows in the evening, watching locals walk by – it feels like you’re staying in a real neighborhood, not just a tourist bubble.

The space itself is really well thought out. The kitchen actually has everything you need if you want to grab some ingredients from the Central Market (which is about a 10-minute walk, by the way). I spent a morning there picking up local cheese and bread, then came back and had breakfast while looking out over the medieval rooftops. The bathroom is modern and the shower has great pressure – honestly, after walking around cobblestones all day, that hot water feels amazing. One small thing – the stairs up to the loft are a bit steep, so if you’re traveling with heavy luggage, just be prepared for that. But once you’re up there, the space feels so airy and open. The 10 rating makes sense when you consider what you’re getting for the price point. It’s not trying to be a luxury hotel, but it nails exactly what it is: a really comfortable, genuinely stylish place to stay in one of the most beautiful parts of Riga. Plus, the hosts clearly know the area well – they left recommendations for places I never would have found otherwise, including this tiny wine bar on Kalēju iela that became my favorite spot by the end of the trip.

  В помешканні є все для комфортного проживання- від посуду, плити, холодильнику до великого телевізору, все продумано до дрібниць. Гарний інтерʼєр. Дуже зручне розташування в центрі міста.
