You know what struck me first about this place on Aleksandra Čaka? It’s actually got character – and I mean that in the best way possible. Most Riga Center apartments feel like they’re trying too hard to be modern, but this one nails that sweet spot between stylish and genuinely livable. The 9.7 rating isn’t just inflated nonsense either; when I walked in, I immediately got why people rave about it.

The location is honestly perfect if you want to feel like you’re living in Riga rather than just visiting it. Čaka street has this great mix of locals heading to work and tourists figuring out their maps, plus you’re close enough to the Old Town that you can walk there in about fifteen minutes (I timed it), but far enough that you’re not dealing with bachelor party groups stumbling around at 3 AM. There’s a Rimi supermarket practically around the corner, which – trust me – you’ll appreciate when you want to grab breakfast supplies or a bottle of wine without paying hotel prices. The area gets pretty quiet after about 10 PM, so if you’re a light sleeper, you’ll actually get some rest here.

What really gets me is how they’ve done the interiors. It’s cozy without being cramped, and stylish without feeling like you can’t touch anything. The kitchen is actually functional (shocking, I know), and they’ve got proper blackout curtains – small detail, but it matters when those Baltic summer nights barely get dark. The Wi-Fi works everywhere, which shouldn’t be noteworthy but somehow still is in a lot of places. Honestly, the whole setup feels like someone put thought into what travelers actually need rather than just what looks good in photos. I mean, there’s decent water pressure in the shower, which is more than I can say for some four-star places I’ve stayed at. The only minor thing is that the building entrance is a bit tricky to find the first time – it’s one of those Riga courtyards where you have to walk through an archway – but once you know where it is, it’s actually kind of charming. Street parking can be hit or miss during the day, but evenings are usually fine if you’re driving.

  We had such a wonderful stay at this Airbnb! The location was excellent—just a 30-minute walk to the city center, and the area was so quiet and peaceful. The apartment itself was incredibly cozy, with thoughtful decorative touches that made it feel like home. It was well-equipped with all the necessities, which made our stay even more comfortable.
  
  The host was absolutely amazing—so friendly and welcoming! And went above and beyond to make our experience special with some lovely extra touches. Would highly recommend it to anyone.

  I really loved the location. It is at the town centre, on a street with good public transport (from the bus station or similar), nice walking distance from restaurants and shops, a café right at the next building and also a corner store for groceries, there is also park close by. The check in was super easy (keybox). The apartment was lovely, I especially loved the kitchen et-up with a gas stove and a full oven and the bath in the bathroom. There were lovely details by the host such as the provision of a bathrobe and some extra emergency hygiene items in addition to the basics. The wi-fi was good and fast, did home office there without any problems.
  
  What could be improved: The apartment could have been a bit warmer, the bed was comfortable, but a bit squeaky.
