You know what caught me off guard about Soleil? The name actually makes perfect sense once you’re there. I mean, you’d think it’s just another cutesy hotel name, but when that morning light hits the old town cobblestones right outside your window on Aldaru iela, you get it. The whole place sort of glows – and honestly, that’s not me being dramatic.

I’ve stayed in plenty of four-star places around Riga’s old town, but this one feels different. Maybe it’s because they actually solved the parking nightmare (which, if you’ve ever tried to park near the old town, you know is worth its weight in gold). The sauna situation is pretty sweet too – not some cramped afterthought, but a proper space where you can actually unwind after walking those uneven medieval streets all day. Your feet will thank you, trust me. What really got me though was how they’ve managed to keep that historic charm without making you feel like you’re roughing it. The building has this weathered elegance that fits perfectly with the neighborhood, but inside? Everything works the way it should. The Wi-Fi doesn’t cut out, the shower has proper pressure, and – this is a small thing, but it matters – the windows actually block out the sound from late-night revelers stumbling back from the bars on nearby streets.

The staff here seem to actually know the area, which is rarer than you’d think. They’ll point you toward the quieter entrance to the Christmas market in December, or mention that the best coffee is two blocks over, not at the tourist trap everyone photographs. Location-wise, you’re literally in the thick of things but on a street that doesn’t get completely overrun during peak tourist season. I walked to pretty much everything – the cathedral, the market halls, even down to the Daugava riverfront – but came back to relative peace each evening. The 9.5 rating isn’t just numbers on a screen; you can feel why people keep coming back and actually taking the time to leave glowing reviews. It’s one of those places where small details add up to something that feels genuinely special rather than just professionally adequate.

  I had an absolutely wonderful stay at this apartment in the heart of Riga’s Old Town.
  The location is perfect, central yet quiet, with the added convenience of parking.
  Being on a low floor made access easy, and the apartment itself exceeded all expectations.
  The bed was incredibly comfortable and including a washing machine, dishwasher, and sauna added so much convenience and relaxation to my stay.
  Every amenity in the apartment was of the highest quality, which made it feel like a home away from home.
  The atmosphere was very secure, and I felt completely at ease throughout my stay.
  Thank you to the owner for their exceptional hospitality, I was truly happy with my experience and would highly recommend this apartment to anyone visiting Riga.

  Very beautiful and comfortable apartment! A lot of amazing amenities. The location is amazing, quiet but very near the main square.

  Уютные апартаменты в тихом дворе старого города, около Домской площади. 2 этаж в доме без лифта. Гараж в 3 минутах ходьбы, но на машине можно подъехать к квартире для того чтобы оставить вещи. Очень понятные инструкции для заселения. Укомплектованая кухня. Сауна очень спасает в холодные дни после прогулок по городу. При возможности остановимся опять.

  Majutusasutus asub suurepärases asukohas, pakkudes külastajale nii mugavat ligipääsu linnale kui ka rahulikku ümbrust. Toad on hubased ning voodid erakordselt mugavad, tagades kvaliteetse puhkuse. Kõik vajalikud mugavused olid olemas, mis tegi peatumise väga meeldivaks. Kommunikatsioon majutajaga oli äärmiselt kiire ja professionaalne. Samuti väärib esiletõstmist tasuta parkimisvõimalus ning üldine vaikus majutuspaigas.
  Kindlasti peatun siin taas, kui külastan Riiat. Soovitan seda majutusasutust soojalt ka teistele reisijatele.

  Asukoht oli ideaalne Riia vanalinnaga tutvumiseks. Tuba oli väga vaikne. Perenaine Lidija oli väga kena ja armas. Külaliskorter on maitsekalt ja otstarbekalt sisustatud, kõik vajalik oli olemas, puhas ja korras.
