Krišjāņa Barona is one of those streets where locals actually live and work, so you get real cafes and shops mixed in with the convenience of being central. The apartment overlooks a park (hence the name), which is pretty nice when you want to people-watch with your morning coffee. You know what’s great? You can walk to Doma laukums in about five minutes, but you can also hit up Bergs Bazārs or wander toward the Art Nouveau district without any planning.

The Space Itself

The studio setup works really well — it’s smart design without being cramped. The kitchen area has everything you need if you want to grab groceries from the Rimi down the street and cook something simple. The room feels bigger than you’d expect, probably because of how the windows frame that park view. I actually spent more time just sitting by the window than I planned, watching the neighborhood wake up in the morning. The whole place feels clean and modern, but not in that sterile way some rentals have.

Getting Around

What really sold me on this place was how easy everything became once I settled in. The tram stops are right there if you want to explore further out, but honestly, most of what you’ll want to see in Riga is walkable from here. The Central Market is maybe a 10-minute walk, and if you’re into the nightlife scene, you’re perfectly positioned between the Old Town bars and the more local spots along Elizabetes iela. Parking can be a bit tricky in this area if you’re driving, but that’s pretty standard for central Riga.

Why Guests Love It

I think what makes this place special is that balance between being central and being livable. You’re not staying in some tourist bubble — you’re actually in a neighborhood where Rigans live and work. The park view gives you something nice to look at, the location means you can be spontaneous about your plans, and the space itself just works without any fuss. That 9.2 rating makes sense when you experience how everything just flows easily from this base. It’s the kind of place where you end up extending your stay because leaving feels like giving up a really good thing.

  The apartment is very close to the city centre and it has everything you could possibly need for a short or even a longer stay including a few extra details like drinks and snacks. The place is very clean, modern and spacious. Although we didn't meet Christopher in person, he was very helpful and made the check in and check out process very easy. It was also easy to find the apartment as it's located on a main street facing a beautiful park. We would definitely book this place again the next time we're in Riga!

  I often visit Riga for work and the studio is located in the center of the city, almost next to my office. It is a go-to place for me. So close to the old town but away from the tourist crowds. Looking directly to one of the most beautiful parks in town, you can enjoy great views while sipping your morning coffee. The studio has all facilities you may need. It is super clean and recently renovated. Christopher is a great host, he made sure I had a comfortable stay. I’d recommend to book this place and I’d definitely come back again!

  This is the perfect place to explore Riga. The apartment itself is beautiful and very nice. It has everything you need and all the little extras that are provided are a great bonus to make your day.
  Location is perfect, very central in Riga and walking distance to all of the interesting areas. Self check-in was easy and went very smoothly. The owner responds quickly to all questions and messages. I would definitely stay here again when I come back:-)

  Very nice, well-equipped apartment with a nice view of the park. Perfect location within walking distance to the city center. The apartment is located in a pleasant Art Nouveau tenement house. Good choice for solo travelers or couples for a city break in Riga.

  The studio is located in a central but quite position, where the park is visible from the window.
  It is decorated in a modern but cozy design (wooden floor, plants, modern furniture).
  You will find everything you need (shampoo, conditioner, ear plugs, hairdryer, coffee, drinks…).
  The bathroom is small but super comfortable and modern, with a warm and strong shower.
  There is an elevator if you have a heavy luggage.
  We loved to be near the station, the park, the centre, and the other quarters… it is perfect to explore everything.
  Christopher was very friendly and easy to reach.

  Very nice apartment, modern furniture, well equipped kitchen. Our host was kind enough to offer water, treats, and refreshments, while there were available city and sightseeing maps in the room. He was really helpful, sending pics of the street and parking so that we don't miss it. Very close to all points of interest, walking distance. Available parking near the building. Although our room was facing the street, it wasn't noisy at all. I definitely recommend it for a short stay in Riga.
  
  What could be improved: The curtains weren't blocking the sun very well.
  Also, despite our host being super nice and helpful, I didn't really appreciate the shockingly long list of house rules sent to me a day before arrival. It doesn't make you feel very welcomed.
