The name actually undersells it – yeah, it’s technically a studio and you can walk to Old Town in five minutes, but there’s something refreshingly honest about how they’ve set it up on Krišjāņa Barona. I mean, this street is basically where locals actually live and work, not some touristy side street, so you get that authentic Riga vibe without feeling like you’re staying in a museum. The building itself has that solid Soviet-era backbone that’s been smartly updated – thick walls that actually keep street noise down (trust me, important when the trams start running early).

The studio itself is cleverly designed, honestly. Someone clearly thought about how real people use space because everything just… works. The park view they mention? It’s legit – you’re looking out at Esplanade Park, which locals use for morning runs and where they set up those little seasonal markets. During summer evenings, you’ll hear live music drifting up from events there, but it’s never intrusive. The kitchen setup is actually functional (I’ve stayed in plenty of places where the “kitchenette” is basically decorative), and there’s enough counter space to prep actual meals if you hit up the Central Market – which, by the way, is an easy walk down Barona Street. The bed situation is comfortable, though I’d say the place works best for one or two people who don’t mind sharing space. Storage is thoughtfully planned too, with spots for your stuff that don’t make the place feel cluttered.

What really sells this location, though, is how it sits right in that sweet spot between convenience and authenticity. Sure, you’re five minutes from the cobblestones and cathedral spires of Old Town, but you’re also two blocks from where Rigans grab their morning coffee and evening drinks. The 9.2 rating makes sense when you consider what you’re getting – it’s not trying to be a luxury experience, but it nails the fundamentals while giving you a genuine taste of how the city actually flows. Check-in was smooth (they’re responsive over messaging), and honestly, the whole experience just felt… competent. Sometimes that’s exactly what you want – a place that handles the basics really well so you can focus on exploring a city that’s got way more character than most people expect.

  The apartment is very close to the city centre and it has everything you could possibly need for a short or even a longer stay including a few extra details like drinks and snacks. The place is very clean, modern and spacious. Although we didn't meet Christopher in person, he was very helpful and made the check in and check out process very easy. It was also easy to find the apartment as it's located on a main street facing a beautiful park. We would definitely book this place again the next time we're in Riga!

  I often visit Riga for work and the studio is located in the center of the city, almost next to my office. It is a go-to place for me. So close to the old town but away from the tourist crowds. Looking directly to one of the most beautiful parks in town, you can enjoy great views while sipping your morning coffee. The studio has all facilities you may need. It is super clean and recently renovated. Christopher is a great host, he made sure I had a comfortable stay. I’d recommend to book this place and I’d definitely come back again!

  This is the perfect place to explore Riga. The apartment itself is beautiful and very nice. It has everything you need and all the little extras that are provided are a great bonus to make your day.
  Location is perfect, very central in Riga and walking distance to all of the interesting areas. Self check-in was easy and went very smoothly. The owner responds quickly to all questions and messages. I would definitely stay here again when I come back:-)

  Very nice, well-equipped apartment with a nice view of the park. Perfect location within walking distance to the city center. The apartment is located in a pleasant Art Nouveau tenement house. Good choice for solo travelers or couples for a city break in Riga.

  The studio is located in a central but quite position, where the park is visible from the window.
  It is decorated in a modern but cozy design (wooden floor, plants, modern furniture).
  You will find everything you need (shampoo, conditioner, ear plugs, hairdryer, coffee, drinks…).
  The bathroom is small but super comfortable and modern, with a warm and strong shower.
  There is an elevator if you have a heavy luggage.
  We loved to be near the station, the park, the centre, and the other quarters… it is perfect to explore everything.
  Christopher was very friendly and easy to reach.

  Very nice apartment, modern furniture, well equipped kitchen. Our host was kind enough to offer water, treats, and refreshments, while there were available city and sightseeing maps in the room. He was really helpful, sending pics of the street and parking so that we don't miss it. Very close to all points of interest, walking distance. Available parking near the building. Although our room was facing the street, it wasn't noisy at all. I definitely recommend it for a short stay in Riga.
  
  What could be improved: The curtains weren't blocking the sun very well.
  Also, despite our host being super nice and helpful, I didn't really appreciate the shockingly long list of house rules sent to me a day before arrival. It doesn't make you feel very welcomed.
