You know what? I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star place on Pasta iela, but this loft completely caught me off guard. The building itself is one of those beautifully weathered Old Town structures – you’re literally steps from the cobblestone maze that tourists love, but tucked away enough that you won’t hear drunk bachelor parties stumbling back from Folkklubs at 3 AM. The entrance is a bit tricky to find at first (it’s through a courtyard), but once you’re inside, the space feels surprisingly modern and airy for what’s essentially a converted attic.

The double beds thing is actually perfect if you’re traveling with friends who don’t want to share – I mean, how often do you find a place that gets that right? The loft has this great industrial-meets-cozy vibe going on, with exposed beams and decent natural light filtering through skylights. Honestly, the 9.3 rating makes sense once you settle in. The owner clearly knows what travelers actually need – there’s proper blackout capability for those white summer nights (trust me, you’ll appreciate this in June), solid Wi-Fi that doesn’t cut out every ten minutes, and a kitchen that’s actually functional, not just decorative. The shower has good pressure too, which… well, anyone who’s stayed in Old Town apartments knows that’s not always a given.

What really sold me on this place though is the location – you’re close enough to walk to Dome Square in about five minutes, but far enough from the main tourist drag that you can actually sleep. There’s a great little bakery around the corner on Audēju iela that opens early, and you’re perfectly positioned to explore both the Old Town and venture across to Miera iela when you want to see where locals actually hang out. The tram stop is right there if you need to get to the train station with luggage, and – this is key – there’s actually parking nearby if you’re driving, which is pretty rare in this part of the city. Sure, the stairs might be a bit steep if you’re hauling heavy bags (it is a loft, after all), and the ceilings slope in places, but that just adds character. For what you’re paying, especially considering you’re basically living like a local in one of the most charming neighborhoods in the Baltics, it’s honestly a steal.

  It is a short walking distance to the center, so it was very good in terms of location. The house was very modern, very clean and very safe. Never hesitate to stay, there was an electric stove, microwave oven, refrigerator. The dish sponge, which was renewed for every guest, was a very nice detail. There were various tea treats, they are very interested. It was also very close to the bus stop to the airport, we immediately walked. The bus station is very close to the beach. In a word, it was amazing, I'm glad we stayed here.
