Premier 2bd Old Town apartment
First Impressions
Walking up to Premier 2bd Old Town apartment on Kungu iela, you immediately know you’ve scored something special. I mean, you’re literally steps away from everything that makes Rīga magical — the cobblestone streets, medieval architecture, and that unmistakable Old Town energy. The building itself has this classic European charm that honestly makes you feel like you’re living in a postcard, but without any of the tourist trap nonsense.
The Space
This two-bedroom apartment is what I’d call perfectly sized — not so big that you feel lost, but spacious enough that couples (which apparently love this place) can actually spread out and relax. The kitchen is surprisingly well-equipped, which you’ll appreciate when you realize how expensive eating out in Old Town can get. You know what really impressed me though? The way they’ve managed to keep the authentic character while making everything feel modern and comfortable. The windows let in this gorgeous natural light that changes throughout the day as it bounces off the historic buildings across the street.
Location Magic
Here’s the thing about staying right in the heart of Old Town — you can literally roll out of bed and be at Rīga Cathedral in about three minutes. The Town Hall Square? Maybe five minutes if you stop to grab coffee. I’ve stayed in plenty of places that claim to be “centrally located,” but this one actually delivers on that promise. You’re close enough to walk everywhere that matters, but tucked away on a quieter street so you’re not dealing with constant noise from the main tourist drags.
The Neighborhood Experience
What I love about Kungu iela is that it feels authentically Latvian while still being incredibly accessible. There’s this little bakery around the corner that locals actually go to — not just tourists — and the morning routine of watching people head to work while you’re sipping coffee by the window is pretty perfect. The area comes alive differently throughout the day too. Mornings are peaceful and residential, afternoons buzz with energy, and evenings have this romantic, almost cinematic quality when the old street lamps start glowing.
Why Guests Love It
That 9.5-star rating and perfect location score aren’t accidents. This place gets the balance right between giving you a genuine local experience and making sure you have everything you need as a traveler. The fact that couples rate it so highly tells you something — it’s got that romantic, intimate vibe that makes you want to slow down and actually enjoy being somewhere instead of just checking things off a list. Plus, having your own space means you can come and go as you please, store groceries, and really settle in rather than feeling like you’re camping out in someone else’s space.
