The room itself is exactly what you’d expect from a well-designed studio — compact but thoughtfully laid out so nothing feels cramped. What I really appreciated was how they’ve managed to fit everything you need without making it feel like you’re living in a shoebox. The windows let in plenty of natural light, which is actually pretty important when you’re spending time indoors between all that sightseeing. The decor strikes a nice balance between modern comfort and respecting the historic character of the building.

Location Magic

Here’s where this place really shines — and I’m not exaggerating when I say you can walk to pretty much everything worth seeing. The Freedom Monument? Five minutes. Riga Cathedral? Maybe three if you walk slowly. I spent one morning just wandering around with my coffee, and honestly, I stumbled across half the city’s main attractions without even trying. The narrow streets around Pasta iela are lined with little cafes and shops that you’d never find if you were staying out in the newer districts.

The Neighborhood Vibe

What’s really cool about staying right here is that you get to experience Old Town at different times of day. During the morning, it’s quiet and almost mystical with the early light hitting those medieval walls. By evening, the whole area comes alive with people heading to dinner or just strolling around — but it never gets overwhelmingly crowded like some European city centers do. You’re close enough to duck into a local restaurant for dinner without having to plan your whole evening around transportation.

It’s one of those places where everything just works — the location is unbeatable, the space is comfortable, and you feel like you’re actually living in Rīga rather than just visiting it. Couples especially seem to love it here, and I can see why — there’s something romantic about being able to step out your door and wander through centuries-old streets whenever the mood strikes. Plus, with that location score of 9.6, you’re basically guaranteed to be within walking distance of whatever brought you to Latvia in the first place.

  This newly renovated studio was an excellent value and located very close to the train and bus station. It was also a very short walk to the heart of Old Town and a terrific movie theater next to a huge grocery store. The communication with the host was excellent.
  
  What could be improved: I am a big fan of air conditioning but the weather was cool and was not an issue at all. The windows open and there was a good breeze during my stay.
