This three-star spot doesn’t try to be something it’s not, but what it does offer is authentic charm in one of Riga‘s most atmospheric neighborhoods. The building itself has that weathered elegance you find all over the Old Town, with thick walls that actually keep the noise out (trust me, you’ll appreciate this after a night exploring the nearby bars).

Location & Getting Around

Honestly, the location is what sold me on this place. Elijas iela is tucked away from the main tourist crush, but you’re still a five-minute walk from Town Hall Square and all those medieval church spires everyone comes to see. What’s really nice is that you can grab groceries at the Rimi just around the corner, and there’s this little bakery two blocks down that does incredible rye bread — the locals line up there every morning. The central train station is walkable if you don’t have too much luggage, though I’d recommend a taxi from the airport.

The Wi-Fi worked perfectly, which isn’t always a given in these historic buildings.
