I mean, you’re literally a few minutes’ walk from the heart of Riga’s Old Town, but the street itself has this quiet residential vibe that makes you feel like you’ve stumbled onto something locals actually know about. The building itself – well, it lives up to the “historical” part of its name. There’s character in every corner, the kind of place where you can tell stories have been unfolding for decades, maybe centuries.

The apartments themselves are honestly better than I expected from a 3-star rating. Sometimes ratings don’t tell the whole story, and this is definitely one of those cases – that 9.7 guest rating makes way more sense once you’re actually staying there. The rooms have this lived-in elegance, if that makes sense. Not stuffy or overly formal, but thoughtfully put together with details that show someone actually cares about the place. I particularly loved how they’ve managed to preserve the historical elements without making you feel like you’re sleeping in a museum. The windows are generous, which matters more than you’d think when you’re exploring a city like Riga – natural light just changes everything about how a space feels.

What really struck me was how the location works in practice, not just on paper. You’re close enough to walk to Doma laukums or the Freedom Monument without breaking a sweat, but far enough from the main tourist drag that you’re not dealing with crowds outside your window at midnight. The neighborhood has this authentic Riga feel – there’s a little grocery store nearby where the owner actually remembers your face after a couple of visits, and you’ll find yourself taking different routes back from dinner just to explore the side streets. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle (honestly, that’s Riga for you), but the staff knows the area well enough to point you toward spots that actually work. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward – no corporate script, just genuine helpfulness from people who clearly know their neighborhood and want you to enjoy it too. It’s the kind of place where you end up staying longer than planned, not because there’s some amazing amenity, but because it just feels right.

  We liked everything about the apartment. It was clean, very well-equipped, comfy and well located very close to the old town. Complimentary water, tea, sodas were appreciated, as well as Netflix. The host provided all necessary information for access in due time and it all went smoothly.

  At only 10 meters from the door you can find a very good groceries shop. And very close some coffee places.
  
  However, if you want a good specialty coffee and a good breakfast to with it, I recommend Rocket Bean (they also have a roastery). Address is Dzirnavu iela 39, Centra rajons, Rīga, LV-1010, Latvia
  
  What could be improved: If you want to sleep with the window opened, the street is a bit noisy and it's better to have some earplugs with you. If you close the window, the noise is not bothering anymore = good quality window.

  Super clean apartment, close to the center. On the same street is market and bakery and a lot of restaurant. In apartment you will find everything you need and the owner care about every detail. Highly recommend.

  Big space with kitchen area and all the facilities you'd need. It's on a main road in the newer part of town but I liked this as it was where people lived. Lots of cafes, restaurants and bars nearby and a supermarket on the ground floor
  
  What could be improved: The weather in Riga was v mixed but the room got warm quickly. With the window open it's fine but can be loud with traffic. This didn't bother me but might be a problem for others
