They’ve got this whole wellness area that feels like someone actually thought it through – proper steam room, decent-sized jacuzzi, and the kind of lighting that makes you want to spend way too much time in there. I stayed here during one of those brutal February weeks when Riga gets properly cold, and having that spa to retreat to after wandering around the Old Town all day? Game changer. The water pressure in the showers is surprisingly strong too, which sounds like a small thing until you’ve stayed in places where it’s basically a gentle mist. The whole setup feels more like a boutique hotel than someone’s converted apartment, if that makes sense.

Location-wise, you’re sitting pretty much perfectly for exploring central Riga without dealing with the tourist crowds that pile up closer to the cathedral area. Elizabetes Street is right there when you need proper restaurants (that Georgian place Tbilisi is maybe a five-minute walk), and you can cut through to the Art Nouveau district without having to navigate all the way around the park. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle – street parking gets competitive, especially on weekends when locals are out and about, but there’s a paid lot about three blocks away that’s usually got space. The building itself is pretty quiet, which surprised me given how central you are. You’ll hear some street noise during the day, but it settles down nicely in the evenings. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward – none of that running around the city to meet someone with keys situation you sometimes get with these rental setups.

What really impressed me was how they’ve managed to nail that sweet spot between feeling like you’re staying somewhere special without the stuffiness of a fancy hotel. The 9.5 rating makes total sense once you’re there – it’s one of those places where the small details are just right, from having actual good coffee in the kitchen to towels that don’t feel like sandpaper. If you’re planning to spend decent time in Riga and want something that feels like a proper retreat at the end of the day, this hits differently than your standard accommodation options.
