Look, I’ll be honest – when I first saw “Dandelion Apartments” I was expecting something pretty basic, maybe a bit tired around the edges. But this place on Lāčplēša actually surprised me in the best way possible. The building itself has that solid, no-nonsense Riga vibe you get in this part of town, and once you’re inside, it’s clear someone put real thought into making these apartments work for actual people, not just Instagram photos.

The location is honestly perfect if you want to feel like you’re living in Riga rather than just visiting it. Lāčplēša street runs right through one of those neighborhoods where you’ve got locals doing their daily thing – there’s a decent grocery store about two blocks down, and you’re close enough to the center that you can walk to Old Town when you feel like it, but far enough away that you’re not dealing with tourist crowds every time you step outside. I mean, the trams run regularly if you don’t feel like walking, and parking isn’t the nightmare it can be closer to the cathedral area. You know what I really appreciated? The apartments actually have proper kitchens – not those sad little kitchenettes with a hot plate, but real spaces where you can cook if you want to grab some of that amazing rye bread from the market and make yourself breakfast.

The whole setup feels more like staying at a friend’s place than a hotel, which I think is exactly what they’re going for. The check-in was smooth (no standing around in a lobby for twenty minutes), and honestly, the cleanliness level impressed me – everything felt fresh without that overpowering cleaning product smell some places hit you with. The beds are actually comfortable too, which… well, you never know with apartment rentals sometimes. What really sold me though was how quiet it gets at night. Riga can be surprisingly noisy depending on where you stay, but this street settles down nicely after evening hours. The only sounds you’ll hear are the occasional tram and maybe some late-night conversations from people walking home, but it’s more comforting than disruptive. The 9.5 rating makes total sense once you’ve been there – it’s not trying to be fancy, but everything just works the way it should, and sometimes that’s exactly what you need when you’re traveling.

  Новая чистая уютная квартира со всеми удобствами. Чудесное расположение в самом сердце душевной Риги, но не в гуще туристов. Все под рукой. Большой плюс – окна во внутренний двор, обеспечивающие тишину. 2 санузла. Матрасы супер удобные! Наличие чая, стирального порошка – отлично. А маленькие светильнички в уровне ног это находка :))
