So I stumbled across BRIVIBAS RESIDENCE during one of those frantic last-minute booking sessions, and honestly? Best accidental find in Riga. The name’s a bit of a mouthful with all those caps and descriptors, but don’t let that throw you off – this place actually delivers on what it promises, which is refreshingly rare these days.

The location on Maija iela is one of those spots that locals probably drive past without thinking twice about, but for visitors it’s honestly perfect. You’re tucked away from the tourist chaos of Old Town (which gets pretty intense during summer, trust me), but still close enough that you can walk to Daugava River in about ten minutes if you’re feeling ambitious. The neighborhood has this lived-in feel – you’ll hear kids playing in courtyards and smell someone’s dinner cooking, which I mean, beats the sterile hotel corridor experience any day. And here’s the thing about that private parking they mention – in Riga, especially around the center, finding a spot can be absolutely brutal. Having your own guaranteed space is worth its weight in gold, particularly if you’re driving in from somewhere like Tallinn or exploring the Latvian countryside.

What really impressed me though was how seamlessly everything worked. The self check-in situation had me a bit nervous at first (you know how these things can go wrong), but they’ve got it down to a science. Clear instructions, responsive communication, and honestly the freedom to arrive whenever without worrying about reception desk hours is pretty liberating. The WiFi actually works too – and I’m talking proper speed, not that frustrating hotel internet that takes five minutes to load Instagram. The apartments themselves have this comfortable, unfussy vibe. Nothing fancy, but everything you need is there and it’s all clean and functional. The kind of place where you can spread out your stuff, make coffee in the morning, and actually feel settled rather than just passing through.

I stayed during late autumn when Riga gets those crisp, gray days, and there’s something about having your own space to retreat to that makes all the difference. You can hear the city but you’re not drowning in it, if that makes sense. The building itself is solid – none of those paper-thin walls where you’re privy to everyone else’s conversations. That 9.6 rating isn’t just people being generous; this place genuinely works. It’s the kind of spot where you end up staying longer than planned because everything just… flows. Whether you’re in town for business around the port area or just want a real base for exploring Latvia beyond the postcard shots, this residence gets the balance right between practical and comfortable.

  Good location, near the city center, 10 minute drive to the Zoo, 25 minutes to Jurmala's Livu water park. Groceries and places to eat at are just a short walk away. Modern house and apartment, everything was there that we needed. Playground for the kids in the yard. Very happy with our stay!
  
  What could be improved: Only minor thing – shower seemed to be leaking in the corners so the floor was always wet – please fix.

  New, stylish, super neat and clean apartments. Very clear procedure for arrival and key collection. All the little things like coffee, sugar, etc. have been thought of. Lockable parking space. Strategically, it is a very convenient place, everything can be reached quickly and conveniently. Best reviews.

  The style and cliness, also we had all the things we would need like to wash yourself etc, the kitchen tools and TV, regulating the temperature
