The king bed setup works perfectly for the space – I mean, it’s a studio, so they had to be smart about it, and they actually were. What really impressed me was how they managed to make it feel spacious without being sterile. There’s genuine artwork on the walls (not those generic hotel prints that make you want to cry), and the design choices feel intentional rather than just thrown together by someone’s cousin who “does interiors.” The lighting is spot-on too – warm enough that you don’t feel like you’re in a doctor’s office, but bright enough to actually read or work if you need to. I appreciated that they didn’t go overboard with the “quirky” factor that a lot of Old Town places try to force.

Location-wise, you’re right in the thick of things without being directly on the tourist superhighway. Šķūņu street is quiet enough that you won’t have drunk bachelor parties stumbling past your window at 3 AM (trust me, this matters in Riga’s Old Town), but you’re still a two-minute walk from all the main squares and about five minutes from some genuinely good restaurants that locals actually eat at. The 8.4 rating makes sense – it’s not perfect, and I noticed the shower pressure could be better, but for what you’re paying and where you are, it delivers. Check-in was straightforward, no weird key pickup situations or confusing instructions. Parking is typical Old Town nightmare stuff, but honestly, you don’t need a car here anyway. What I really liked was how the place felt like someone’s thoughtfully designed apartment rather than a corporate hotel room that’s been focus-grouped to death. If you’re looking for something with actual character in Riga’s historic center without paying boutique hotel prices, this hits that sweet spot.

  Convenient key collection, very central location, nicely designed flat, comfortable bed, nice city view, amenities.
  
  What could be improved: Central location means it is loud day and night. The fridge in the room is very loud as well. Bit of a chronic sewage smell was coming from the bathroom. The host was hard to reach for key pickup information.

  Location was amazing right in the middle of everything, clean and nice decoration, nice view. Space is right for 2 people, more is going to be small
  
  What could be improved: You have bars and pubs right downstair so is really loud, on a friday night the people where still talking really loud untill pass 4 am. If you are a light sleeper its going to be a problem

  What could be improved: facility : Central heating did not turn on or work. According to the owner, it is seasonal reason. However, it was tough for stay in May, just beginning of summer there.
  check out (to drop off a key to a security box) : enter the same passcode provided in check-in instruction, then close a cover of a security box when you return a key. Otherwise, the cover does not close completely. This is supplemental instruction which a check in info did not access. (as of 2023 May)

  Perfect location in the old town. Lovely modern apartment with lots of character. Very comfortable with everything we needed. Really good value. easy self check in with good communication from host.

  I liked the apartment a lot. I hadn't used lockbox before, so I was a bit puzzled by that. But apartment itself was very clean and nice, located in the heart of old town.
